THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW FILLED.
This workshop is aimed at young people (ages 10-15) with no prior Scratch experience!
Scratch is easy to learn. In fact, once you've seen how to snap together command blocks to make a simple script, you're ready to start exploring on your own. You can learn new Scratch commands and techniques as you go, either by asking other Scratch users or by exploring sample projects and projects from the Scratch website.
This workshop will be hands-on. We'll present a few Scratch basics, then you'll dive into building projects like interactive animations, stories, or games -- whatever you like. We'll also show you how to share your work on the Scratch website, and how to find interesting projects that might give you ideas for your own projects.
Level: Ages 10-15.
